The 2020 China Membrane Industry Development Summit and the Third “Matashahu” High-Level Forum on the Membrane Industry were successfully held in Huantai.

The 2020 China Membrane Industry Development Summit and the Third “Matatihu” High-Level Forum on the Membrane Industry, co-hosted by the China Membrane Industry Association, the China Membrane Society (in preparation), the Chemical Park Working Committee of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, and the People’s Government of Zibo City, was grandly held in Huantai County, Zibo City, Shandong Province, on August 22–23, 2020.
This year’s summit has brought together numerous academicians, leaders from national ministries and commissions, senior officials from local governments, leading industry experts, and seasoned entrepreneurs to jointly formulate a development strategy for the membrane industry, deliberate on its long-term plans, and map out a comprehensive blueprint for its future growth.
This year’s summit is centered on technological innovation, industrial synergy, collaborative integration, and win-win cooperation. During the event, six parallel sub‑forums will be held, including the International Symposium on Functional Membrane Materials, the Seminar on the Application of Membrane Technology in the Petrochemical Industry, the Development of Membrane‑Industry Equipment and Supporting Systems in the Context of New Infrastructure and New Industries, the Launch of New Membrane‑Technology Products along with Investment Promotion and Policy Announcements for China Membrane Valley, and a Closed‑Door Leaders’ Meeting on the Development of China’s Membrane Industry. These sessions are distinctive and highly engaging, and we are confident that, through the exchange of ideas and sincere collaboration, they will yield abundant and tangible results.
At the summit, participating academicians and experts delivered keynote speeches and engaged in discussions on the membrane industry’s pivotal role in China’s strategic emerging sectors, breakthroughs in high-end equipment and new materials, and the development plan for “China Membrane Valley.” The attendees unanimously agreed that this year’s summit has brought together top-tier resources and cutting-edge technologies from the membrane materials field, playing a leading and catalytic role in the transformation and upgrading of the membrane and new materials industries. The summit’s attraction and capacity continue to grow, helping Huantai accurately grasp the pulse of the times in membrane‑industry development while fostering the emergence of “China Membrane Valley” as an integrated, next‑generation community of industry, academia, research, and application—thereby providing robust support for building the nation’s most distinctive cluster of high‑performance membrane industries.
