Jiutian Gaoke’s solvent recovery technology is highly sought after in the market.
2016-01-27
Our correspondent reports that, according to Jiangsu Jiutian High-Tech Co., Ltd., the company’s molecular-sieve pervaporation membrane technology for solvent dehydration has, over four years of market deployment, processed a cumulative total of more than 300,000 tons of solvents across industries including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, agrochemicals, cellulose, and electronics.
This technology originates from the Institute of Membrane Science and Technology at Nanjing University of Technology and has been supported by China’s National “973” and “863” programs, as well as Jiangsu Province’s science-and‑technology achievement‑transformation projects. Leveraging advantages such as energy conservation, emission reduction, high recovery rates, and a compact footprint, molecular-sieve pervaporation membrane technology is now widely employed in the production and recovery of organic solvents, the promotion of esterification reactions, and other applications, gradually replacing conventional separation methods.
As of the end of 2015, Jiutian High-Tech had achieved numerous industry firsts. It is the only company in China’s pervaporation membrane sector listed on the New Third Board (stock code: 832440); the sole domestic enterprise offering end-to-end services—covering support‑material production, membrane fabrication, design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning; the only Chinese firm certified to design, manufacture, and install pressure vessels; the first in China to successfully industrialize a complete set of molecular sieve pervaporation membrane equipment; and home to the country’s largest R&D and production base for molecular sieve supports and membranes. In addition, Jiutian High-Tech serves as an authorized supplier of molecular sieve membranes to GFT, the global pioneer in pervaporation membranes, as well as to leading engineering firms. Its products hold over 80% of the domestic market share in this sector, have been awarded the First Prize for Technological Invention by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, and have secured more than 30 granted patents. The company has also spearheaded or participated in the development of three national and industry standards.
At present, Jiutian High-Tech’s molecular-sieve pervaporation membranes and their complete sets of equipment have achieved gradual market maturity. Moving forward, the company will progressively develop integrated water-resource utilization business.
