Application field
Background technique
Isopropanol is an important chemical product and raw material, mainly used in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, plastics, spices, paints, etc. Isopropanol is widely used as a solvent or extractant in the pharmaceutical industry. Isopropanol can form an azeotrope with water (water content 12.6wt%) in addition to water. Traditional isopropanol production and recovery use azeotropic distillation and extraction processes , high energy consumption, serious pollution, and molecular sieve adsorption dehydration cannot be applied industrially due to too high water content. Pervaporation technology can significantly improve separation efficiency and reduce process energy consumption.
