On December 3, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation convened the National Conference on Scientific and Technological Innovation in the Petroleum and Chemical Industries at the Beijing National Convention Center. Comrade Gu Xiulian, Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People’s Congress, delivered a speech, and President Li Shousheng of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation presented the keynote report. During the conference, the winning organizations and individuals recognized for their scientific and technological innovations in China’s petroleum and chemical sectors in 2018 were solemnly honored, and honorary certificates were awarded. Dr. Yu Congli, Deputy General Manager of Jiutian High-Tech, was conferred the title of “National Outstanding Science and Technology Worker in the Petroleum and Chemical Industries.”
Dr. Yu Congli has been engaged in molecular sieve membrane research for many years, leading more than ten provincial- and ministerial-level projects, including a sub-project under the national 863 Program and a Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Enterprise Technological Innovation Fund project. He has published over ten SCI‑indexed papers and obtained more than forty authorized patents. Currently, his research focuses on the large-scale application of molecular sieve membranes in fuel ethanol production processes, as well as the development of solvent recovery technologies for complex and demanding operating environments.
